Dr Ruth Carlyle
Ruth Carlyle is Head of Knowledge and Library Services (NHS KLS Leadership) at NHS England and is also policy lead for the CILIP Health Libraries Group. Ruth completed her information science training in the pharmaceutical sector before moving into the voluntary sector. She set up the first information service for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Before joining the NHS in 2017, Ruth was Head of Support and Wellbeing at Macmillan Cancer Support, overseeing local Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Services. She represents NHS England in the National Health and Digital Literacy Partnership with CILIP, Arts Council England and Libraries Connected.
