Dr Gianfranco Polizzi works in the Department of Communication and Media as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. He is currently working on multiple projects relating to issues of media/digital literacy and digital inequalities. Gianfranco’s research interests also include digital resilience, digital citizenship, civic engagement, and democracy. He recently co-led the evaluation of the second iteration of NewsWise, a school intervention aimed at equipping primary school children in the UK with news and digital literacy skills. This project was funded by the Nuffield Foundation.
